A collection of minimalist works created over a period of four days, combining elements of classical with loops and ambient electronic textures. Reflective, meditative pieces transmuting feelings of grief and loss, reaching for beauty within darkness and upheaval.

Most of these pieces are carried by piano, and the incidental resonances created by layers of electronically-sustained notes, which in places form the illusion of voices, suggesting a choral wash.

Perhaps in the realm of a Requiem Mass, the sombre tones reflect a passage through pain wherein each breath, each step, is taken with reverence and a sense of sacrament - a Will toward Love, despite the darkness.

In many ways this collection extends on personal & musical themes explored in the spacious, minimalist piano pieces on my earlier album, The Witnessing Of Paint In Its Drying Moments, and as such makes a fitting companion piece.
